About the position

At BB Karolinska in Huddinge, we work daily with a variety of exciting patient groups in an environment characterized by great cultural diversity. We meet families and colleagues from all over the world and conduct several unique activities that stand out both in Stockholm and nationally.

Among other things, there is a specialized HIV clinic for pregnant women and the perinatal psychiatric unit where we collaborate transprofessionally with psychiatry. We also have a national mission in fetal medicine and were the first in Sweden to introduce caseload midwifery through the initiative “My Midwife.” Since the autumn of 2020, we have also offered planned home births with the support of our midwives for women with normal pregnancies and expected normal births.

As an assistant university midwife Level 5, you will work on behalf of and in close collaboration with the section management, university midwife, and OVA.

The position involves clinical work in direct patient contact with a focus on leading and supporting development and improvement work within your clinical care area in all flows of the operation. You are expected to actively identify development needs in care, initiate and drive competence-enhancing and educational efforts, and ensure that relevant guidelines and routines are known and updated in the operation.

The role includes working two out of five weekends.

  • takes initiative, starts activities, and achieves results
  • collaborates well with others and relates to them in a responsive and smooth manner.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Licensed midwife with a master's degree
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience in the specialty of childbirth/postnatal care
  • Supervisor training 7.5hp

Meritorious:

  • Relevant university courses
  • Real competence in improvement work, innovation, and implementation.
