YOUR ROLE

As a System Engineer at Esrange Space Center, you will be an important part of our facilities section, ensuring that the facilities operate as they should and develop safely and efficiently. You will work in an environment characterized by both technical breadth and exciting challenges, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to work that truly makes a difference.

Here, you will work both operationally and administratively to plan, coordinate, and develop technical systems and facilities.

You will:

• Work on technology development and efficiency improvements in facility operations.
• Independently troubleshoot and manage technical issues within your area.
• Plan, prepare, and follow up on tasks.
• Coordinate and lead production efforts within the workgroup and with suppliers.
• Contribute to the documentation of technical systems such as electricity, fiber, and communication.
• Participate in rounds and inspections and ensure that requirements and procedures are followed.

As part of our team, you actively contribute to developing our operations and ensuring that our facilities meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and functionality. On-call duty is included in the role.

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for someone with a broad technical interest who thrives in an environment where no two days are the same. You are curious, eager to learn new things, and see opportunities rather than problems.

You need to be a person who:

• Enjoys solving technical challenges and switching between different types of tasks.
• Thrives with multiple tasks at hand and can handle ad hoc situations.
• Is structured, responsible, and has an easy time collaborating.
• Takes initiative and sees what needs to be done.

We believe you have a background in construction, electrical, plumbing, ventilation, or a similar technical field, as well as good computer skills. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English and have a B driver's license.
