About the role

As an electrician within our Mill-wide Services team in Stegra Boden, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of medium and high voltage systems that supply both production equipment and electrical distribution. The role is central to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of substations, transformers, and distribution stations.

You will work in accordance with applicable safety regulations, ESA, LOTOTO principles, and established work routines, actively contributing to the facility's operational safety and development.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Installing, maintaining, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on medium and high voltage systems.
  • Inspecting and ensuring the functionality of electrical equipment such as machines, transformers, substations, protection relays, and MV/HV stations.
  • Troubleshooting electrical problems using drawings, schematics, relay protection documentation, and measuring equipment.
  • Repairing and replacing defective components, such as cabling, switches, control panels, substations, motors, and transformers.
  • Performing connection work within medium and high voltage in accordance with Swedish regulations, ESA, and Stegra's authorization requirements.
  • Ensuring a safe working environment by following electrical safety regulations, LOTOTO routines, and using appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Documenting performed maintenance, connection actions, and LOTOTO interventions.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and other functions to continuously improve maintenance work and operational safety.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Vocational training in electrical engineering with experience in industrial maintenance. Post-secondary education in electrical power is a merit but not a requirement.
  • Relevant certifications and training for work with medium and high voltage according to Swedish regulations, such as ESA and connection authorization.
  • At least three years of experience as an industrial electrician in heavy industry, preferably within steel, mining, pulp, or paper industry, or other process industries.
  • Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and operating medium and high voltage facilities, including substations, transformers, and protection systems.
  • Good knowledge of LOTOTO and a solid understanding of Swedish and European electrical safety and occupational health regulations.
  • High safety awareness and the ability to work independently in environments with elevated risk.
  • A structured and meticulous work approach along with good problem-solving skills.
  • Good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team.
  • Physical ability to work at heights and in demanding industrial environments with appropriate protective equipment.
  • Good knowledge of English. Knowledge of Swedish is a merit.
