JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a district heating technician for the heating plant in Kiruna.

As a technician with us, you will work with the operation and maintenance of the district heating network. The work is varied and includes both fieldwork and administrative tasks. The position is scheduled for daytime hours.

The role involves significant responsibility for ensuring stable and safe operation of our district heating network. This role is suitable for you who enjoy practical and technical work, take responsibility for your tasks, and want to contribute to developing a community-critical operation. You will also have daily contact with both internal and external customers as well as suppliers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing inspections, service, troubleshooting, and fault rectification in the district heating network.
• Working with leak detection, shutdowns, valves, chambers, and other network components.
• Conducting preventive maintenance and following up on measures to reduce disturbances and outages.
• Carrying out work at customer facilities and district heating centers, such as installation, inspection, and simpler service tasks.
• Participating in operational disturbances, planned work, and restoration after measures in the network.
• Documenting completed work, deviations, and status in relevant systems and maintenance documentation.
• Collaborating with internal functions as well as external contractors and suppliers.
• Contributing to order, safety, risk awareness, and continuous improvements in daily work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a technical education or relevant experience in operation and maintenance. It is advantageous if you have worked in district heating distribution, the energy sector, or construction and civil engineering contracting. Additionally, experience in coordinating contractors or close collaboration with customers and suppliers is a plus. You also have knowledge of occupational safety, risk assessment, and work in safety-critical operations.
