About the Role

Vamas plays an important role in the municipality's long-term development. We have a significant responsibility to ensure good community service and a sustainable environment. In this position, you will work broadly with waste and recycling – in a combined role as both a driver and recycling worker. In this role, you will collect and transport waste safely and efficiently, as well as perform service, cleaning, and maintenance work at our recycling stations. The work is varied and encompasses several parts of waste management and recycling. Your base will be in Sälen, and you will also work across the entire municipality and support other collection areas as needed. You will be part of a dedicated team that drives and develops our waste management services together.

Responsibilities include:

• Driving side loaders, rear loaders, and hook loaders with crane and trailer.
• Transporting waste between our recycling centers and to external facilities.
• Collecting and transporting waste.
• Working at the recycling center.
• Cleaning and servicing recycling stations.
• Customer contact.
• Daily supervision and safe handling of vehicles and equipment.
• Opportunity to learn about different recycling processes and techniques.
• Participating in efforts to develop the operations and routines.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is practical.
• Flexible, reliable, and structured.
• A problem solver and service-oriented.
• Has a CE driver's license and YKB.
• Has a digital driver card.
• Has a professional certificate for vehicle-mounted cranes over 18 ton-meters.
• Has a driving license for wheel loaders.
• Has good computer skills.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have experience driving hook loaders with cranes.
• Have experience driving waste trucks, such as side loaders and rear loaders.
• Have ADR certification and work on roads.

Other Information

We are continuously working on selection for interviews. This means that the position may be filled before the application deadline, which is 2026-03-12. The position is a permanent employment with a 6-month initial probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
