Your New Workplace
We are now looking for nursing assistants with specialist competence in dementia who want to work to develop elderly care and follow new developments in the field.
The focus is on elderly care that promotes well-being and quality of life for care recipients with dementia who live with us and their relatives.

Lindgården in Sundsvall (located in Haga) is a municipal nursing home with specialized short-term units for individuals with cognitive impairments and the need for temporary care, for example, after hospital stays or for respite.
Your Contribution as a Specialist Nursing Assistant
In your daily work, you will be part of the operation to provide and perform care-related tasks together with colleagues. You contribute to natural learning in everyday situations regarding dementia and interaction. You will have the opportunity to use your specialist competence to create value for care recipients and contribute to the development of the operation through a person-centered approach in collaboration with other professionals. You play an important role by working proactively and mentoring and developing the skills of care staff within your specialist area. Together with the unit manager and other roles, you will work comprehensively and strategically with quality and development work in dementia.
In this role, you will work days, evenings, and weekends.
Your Competence and Experience
The following is required for the role:
- Approved high school diploma.
- Approved education with at least a passing grade in all courses in the national education package for the Health and Care Program or equivalent older education in health and care as well as corresponding adult education.
- Professional experience equivalent to at least 5 years of full-time service in health and care or relevant professional experience in health and care within the last 5 years.
- Employer-approved higher vocational education for specialist nursing assistants, completed courses totaling 200 higher vocational credits with at least a passing grade in all courses with specializations such as dementia, palliative care, elderly care, psychiatry, or other areas deemed relevant by the employer.
- Communicative ability to provide information to individuals (clients), colleagues, and relatives.
- Oral presentation skills to report and inform about individuals (clients).
- Written presentation skills to document in journal systems regarding individuals (clients).
- Basic computer skills to manage various operational systems.
You have the ability to see events in a larger context, think long-term, and understand the consequences of different decisions. You are responsible and pedagogical in your mentoring and are humble in your collaboration with others. You are proactive and have a calm and professional demeanor. You are independent and attentive, contributing a positive and constructive spirit to the workgroup. You also have a genuine interest in working with the elderly and maintain a person-centered approach with the residents' best interests in focus.
