The operations for geriatrics, neurology, and rehabilitation (GNR) are part of the southern primary care area. GNR has two wards, one focused on rehabilitation (26A) and one for stroke/neurology (26B). In ward 26B, patients with neurological diseases, including stroke, are cared for.

GNR is fundamentally well-staffed on the medical side, with 20 specialists and 8 residents in internal medicine, neurology, geriatrics, and rehabilitation medicine. Ward 26B is rounded by a joint medical group that includes internists with a stroke focus and neurologists. They also staff a joint on-call line for the patient group. The neurology clinic is relatively extensive and also has a consulting role during the day. Ward 26A is rounded by geriatricians who work in interdisciplinary teams. We are now looking for you who want to join our work team as a Neurologist.

As a neurologist with us, you will be involved in our team at the clinic and contribute to good and accessible care within the region of Västernorrland.

On the medical side, the clinic is staffed by 5 specialists, but there are also 3 residents and those rotating from other departments. There are good opportunities for further education with us, and we value learning and professional development.

The position is permanent, and we offer a scope from part-time up to full-time. Start date according to agreement.

• Mainly work at the neurology clinic with outpatient neurology. You will also work as a neurology consultant during office hours.
• Ward work on weekdays and weekends may occur, particularly in ward 26B.
• Participate in the supervision of residents and medical students.

We are looking for you who

• Are a specialist physician in neurology.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

It is advantageous if you

• Have work experience from ward work, outpatient clinics, and on-call competence.
• Have experience working with the Cosmic journal system.
