Electrical and Instrumentation Designer

About the role

As an Electrical & Instrumentation Designer with us, you will be a central part of the technical organization and work closely with colleagues in mechanics & piping, automation, project management, and operations. You will be responsible for design, construction, and technical documentation related to electrical systems and instrumentation in our production environments. The role is broad and varied, with the opportunity to follow projects all the way from idea to final installation.

In this role, you will, among other things:

  • Develop design and project documentation for electrical and instrumentation
  • Work with drawings, schematics, and component selection
  • Participate in investment projects and renovations of production equipment
  • Ensure that installations and constructions comply with internal procedures, GMP requirements, and relevant standards (e.g., Electrical Installation Regulations, ATEX, and IEC/EN standards)
  • Lead assembly work and conduct installation inspections
  • Participate in risk analyses, FAT/SAT, technical reviews, and field verifications
  • Collaborate closely with automation, mechanics, operations, and external suppliers to find safe and sustainable solutions

You will report to the Head of Technical Services, and the position is located in Karlskoga.

Who are you?

You have a technical education in electrical engineering, instrumentation, automation, or a similar field, and you have experience in design or construction in industrial environments, preferably within process or chemical industries. You are proficient in CAD tools for electrical and instrumentation and have a good understanding of industrial control systems and field instrumentation. Experience working in a GMP environment is also an advantage.

With your technical interest, collaborative skills, and proactive working style, you contribute to creating safe, efficient, and future-proof solutions for our production facilities.
