Are you a technically skilled property technician who thrives in a varied role where property, media supply, and industrial systems meet? We are now looking for a Property Technician for the Media Department at Outokumpu Stainless AB in Degerfors – an important role to ensure stable operation of our facilities.

The position is daytime with on-call duty and is organizationally placed as an Electromechanic within the Media Department.

About the role

As a property technician, you are an important part of the maintenance organization and are responsible for ensuring that our media and property systems operate safely and efficiently. The work includes service, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance of, among other things, heating plants, cooling systems, ventilation, water and sewage systems, as well as electrical and mechanical equipment.

The role combines practical work on-site with administrative tasks such as documentation, planning, and follow-up in the maintenance system Maximo. The work also involves developing routines and keeping records updated, which requires good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

You are part of the Media on-call team and collaborate closely with colleagues in maintenance, operations, and safety functions. Safety, quality, and regulatory compliance are always the highest priority.

Your main responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance: rounds, troubleshooting, and planned maintenance within HVAC, ventilation, heating/cooling, electrical and control systems, as well as follow-up of subcontractors.

• Energy and environment: monitoring energy and media consumption and reporting within the group.

• Regulatory requirements and self-checks: planning and conducting recurring inspections and assessments, such as OVK, gates, pressurized devices, and refrigerant systems.

• Contractor coordination: ordering, leading, and following up contractors and managing operational disturbances during on-call duty.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a high school or vocational education in property technology, HVAC, electrical or control technology, or equivalent experience. You thrive in a role with both practical and administrative elements.

You are:

• Safety-conscious, service-oriented, and communicative

• Structured and solution-oriented with the ability to prioritize during operational disturbances

• Independent and a team player who enjoys both production and office environments

Experience in the following areas is advantageous:

· Electrical knowledge (documented)

· Gas handling and pressurized systems

· HVAC

· Cooling and heating systems

· Industrial maintenance

A valid driver's license (B) is required.
