Coop Älvängen is a well-established and appreciated store with a good assortment and a clear ecological profile. Our opening hours are 6 AM to 11 PM every day of the week to provide good accessibility for our customers. The store has about thirty employees and several part-time staff.
Our customers should not only be met with good products at good prices, but we also want them to experience culinary inspiration, interesting events, surprises, and world-class service every day. The bakery is an important part and has a significant presence in the store. As a baker/pastry chef, you have a great responsibility to work together with your colleagues to create a vibrant store that constantly exceeds our customers' expectations. Every customer should feel unique through your sense of service and creativity.
As a baker/pastry chef, you will offer our customers a fresh and inviting department every day of the week. Your tasks include everything from bread production to working with the store's catering business, baking wedding cakes, managing orders, campaigns, supplier contacts, and planning recipes. It is important that you have a sense of trends and news to continually maximize sales in combination with our customers' unique wishes.
We expect you to be a trained baker/pastry chef or have equivalent experience in the profession, and also have knowledge of hygiene and safe handling of raw materials.
Together with your colleagues, you will work to create a selling and inspiring environment and ensure that Coop's sustainability policy is followed.
The position is a full-time temporary position from April 20, 2026, to September 1, 2027. Working hours may vary but are usually scheduled during the day with early morning starts, and weekend work may also occur. - Training as a baker/pastry chef or equivalent experience is required
- Experience working with fresh products in a store is highly meritorious
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required
