The Hospital in Trelleborg is the small hospital with the big heart. The area of operation (VO) for emergency and medicine has about 270 employees who conduct internal medicine activities in cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonary medicine, rheumatology, gastroenterology, and neurology. This includes a large outpatient service, three inpatient wards, and a day care unit.
The emergency department belongs to Close Care and Health. Here at the emergency department in Trelleborg, we provide internal medicine emergency care every day of the week between 08:00 and 20:00. On weekdays between 08:00 and 16:00, we also receive patients with surgical, urological, and orthopedic symptoms. Annually, we have about 13,000 visits and nearly 1,000 alarms.
We work in teams consisting of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. Additionally, we work closely with anesthesiology and specialist consultants. Almost all patients treated within internal medicine in Trelleborg pass through the emergency department, and it is there that we together make a difference. We have nearly 40 employees, some of whom are specialized in emergency care. We have a wide range of competencies from recently graduated to many years of experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We now welcome a new nursing assistant to our emergency department.
The work at the emergency department is varied and includes, among other things, triage, monitoring, and treatment of the acutely ill patient, such as during priority 1 alarms. In your role as a nursing assistant at the emergency department, you will work with care, sampling, and dressings. Together, we work in a changing and stimulating environment where flexibility and collaboration are required.
With us, you will be offered a broad foundation with an individually tailored introduction program, where progression occurs through gradually increased responsibility. We have different positions such as team, alarms, orthopedics, and admissions. We have local introductory training such as S-CPR and recurring practice scenarios.
The working hours are a mix of day, evening, and weekend shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied according to previous or current program structures. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Additionally, you have work experience in inpatient care. Experience in emergency care is an advantage.
As a person, you are confident in your professional role, have good collaboration skills, and see opportunities instead of obstacles. You have great commitment and a positive attitude, are driven by new challenges, and have an open mind to learn new things. We would like you to have good communication skills as we work in teams. The management Close Care and Health has existed since January 1, 2025. The management is responsible for grant-funded healthcare activities within close care. This includes mobile teams and specialized palliative care, outpatient services within close care, emergency care within close care, 1177 by phone, and some region-wide functions. Additionally, the management is responsible for the development and follow-up of the transition to close care in Region Skåne. The number of employees is expected to be around 1,000.
