Care Assistants Wanted at Skräddaren's Care and Nursing Home

The elderly care in Umeå municipality aims to be a resource that liberates and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction.

Skräddaren's care and nursing home is centrally located in Teg, about 1.5 km from Umeå city center, close to the Ume River and beautiful green areas. The facility has 47 apartments spread over three floors, with each floor consisting of two smaller units.

We are now looking forward to welcoming two new care assistants to our team!

Your Responsibilities

With a professional approach and a good attitude, you will assist our residents in their daily lives.

The residents' right to participate in their care is a priority, and you will contribute to ensuring that services are provided with good quality, in accordance with care decisions and implementation plans.

You will assist with tasks such as showering, laundry, cleaning, meals, and other services. Your responsibilities will also include documenting actions and health conditions, as well as performing medical tasks as delegated by the responsible nurse.

Scheduled working hours will include days/evenings and weekends.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant with experience in the field.

To communicate effectively with residents, relatives, and colleagues, as well as to write and understand care documentation and receive medication delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written forms.

In your interactions with residents, a high level of professional competence is required, based on personal maturity, good judgment, and a well-developed empathetic ability. You demonstrate genuine commitment to both residents and the organization through respectful and responsible interactions in all relationships and situations. You enjoy working independently and take initiative with patience and attentiveness, while also having a good ability to collaborate and cooperate with colleagues, relatives, and other professionals.

Heavy lifting may occur, and mobility aids should be used. There may occasionally be pets in the workplace, so you should not be allergic.

2 permanent full-time positions are available, starting as soon as possible by agreement. We check ID for candidates we interview. Before offering employment, we will ask you to provide a police record extract. This is done as a final step in the recruitment process.
