Gunnareds kitchen is a production kitchen with an attached restaurant. Daily, about 200 lunch portions including dessert and evening meals are prepared in the kitchen. Most of the guests are residents of care homes in Angered, but we also prepare and deliver meals to services within the support administration. The staff group consists of seven chefs including yourself, a meal assistant, and a head chef who leads and distributes the work in the group. Working hours are daytime according to a rolling schedule, and you work every third weekend.

About You

You are a trained chef with several years of experience in the profession. You are confident and have a good sense of taste, and you master traditional and vegetarian cooking well. Good knowledge and previous experience in special diets are a requirement for the position. You have good knowledge of food handling and self-control and apply good and safe food hygiene in large kitchens.

Communication with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and guests is an important part of the role, which means you have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

It is advantageous if you have experience working with food for the elderly, texture-adapted food, and knowledge of the nutritional needs of the elderly.

You are computer literate and can handle email, purchasing, and ordering programs as well as dietary systems used in the business.

You communicate clearly, are confident in your professional role, and have a good demeanor towards everyone you meet. You are service-oriented, find solutions, and want to help. You are driven and work independently within the framework of your assignment and meet set goals on time.

You see the work from a holistic perspective and contribute creatively to driving the business forward together with your colleagues. You have the ability to see opportunities in changes and can easily adapt your working methods based on changed conditions while creating understanding among others.
