Primary Care Center Östergötland consists of 33 region-operated health centers, Health Center Finspång, Child Health Care Unit, 1177 and emergency centers in the evening and weekend, and General Medicine Training Center.

The City Health Center Söder is part of Region Östergötland's Primary Care Center along with 32 other region-operated health centers. The health center is located in the Hageby district and currently has about 14,500 registered patients. We have a development-inspired working method and conduct a broad primary care operation where we meet patients of all ages with many different symptoms. At the health center, there are medical consultations, specialist nurse consultations, nursing consultations, child health care, psychosocial competence, foot care, and laboratory services. We also take responsibility for a number of nursing homes. We are about 70 employees who enjoy working together in an open work climate where participation is a success factor.

Job Description

As a nursing assistant at our health center, you will have patient contact, take samples, perform minor wound care, and check vital signs such as pulse, temperature, and blood pressure. You will perform administrative tasks and assist doctors and nurses in an organized reception flow. According to a production planning, you will switch tasks throughout the day. For example, this may involve alternating between working clinically with doctors, having blood pressure consultations, making supply purchases/orders and refills, handling prescription renewals, and being in our reception.

Work Group

You will be an important part of a smaller team with a strong patient focus. Each team member works on a rotation schedule.

About You

You are a licensed nursing assistant.

For this position, we are looking for someone who is flexible. Being flexible with us means being able to adapt to the current situation and change focus, which is crucial as unpredictable events occur daily. Flexible also means being able to easily switch between tasks and environments.

Utilizes knowledge, skills, and abilities in interactions during patient meetings or care situations. Since you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Arabic-speaking is a plus.

We work closely together and need to have good communication to successfully solve the tasks we encounter in everyday life. Therefore, the position suits you if you enjoy collaboration and are attentive and communicative with both colleagues, patients, and relatives.

You are actively and positively participating in development work. You are solution-focused.

You are cheerful with a twinkle in your eye.

Basic Requirements for Employment as a Nursing Assistant:

• Approved high school education of at least 2250 points, Health and Care Program or equivalent
• For adult education, approved high school education equivalent to at least 1400 points within Health and Care education or equivalent.
• Grading criteria: At least grade E in all courses (passed).
• It is desirable to have a diploma from certified training via the Health and Care College, applicable to both youth and adult education.
