We are looking for an occupational therapist with a strong interest in mental health for the psychiatric outpatient clinic in Motala.

Job Description

Here you will meet patients who have fallen ill or worsened in their mental health. We work in multiprofessional teams together with the patient, where our goal is to meet the patient's needs and plan further care needs together with the patient. At our clinic, we assess and treat patients with mental health issues at a specialist level. We work from a holistic perspective, which means that family engagement and support for relatives may be part of the tasks. The breadth of the work makes the days with us varied and eventful.

As an occupational therapist, you work to assess and highlight how the patient functions in their daily life and to emphasize the importance of activity and environment for the individual's mental health. This includes assessment and treatment work to utilize the individual's resources/the healthy aspects. Collaboration occurs among others with the social insurance agency, employment agency, municipality, and employers. The work involves close cooperation with other professionals/actors as well as relatives around the patient. Assessments are made together with other professionals within the team.

About You

You have a degree in occupational therapy and preferably experience in psychiatric work. The job requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with various professions. We expect you to be interested in method development and clinical application based on current research. A driver's license is a requirement.

You are a team player with good collaboration skills. We want you, like us, to have a good attitude, a positive approach, and to focus on the patient's best interests. You have a creative and problem-solving ability, are flexible, take initiative, plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You should have a strong interest in collaborating with other professional categories. We place great importance on personal maturity and your desire to engage and develop your work.

Application and Employment

The position is a permanent employment starting on June 1, which may begin with a 6-month probationary period. Interviews will take place on the afternoons of March 13 and March 17.
