Rapid Dimension is an innovative tech startup that develops the next generation of 3D printers and creates the future's sustainable and robust supply chains within the industry. Through advanced additive manufacturing, they digitize physical components and build digital libraries that enable companies to produce spare parts and components smarter, faster, and more sustainably. The company was founded with a clear vision to offer larger companies a comprehensive concept – from digital drawing to finished product – and is currently in an exciting growth phase with new launches and expansion underway. They are now looking for more driven individuals who want to help take the technology and the company to the next level.About the team: You will be part of an engaged and technology-driven team of four people, with strong expertise in 3D printing and product development. The team combines experienced technical leadership and deep practical knowledge in additive manufacturing with a genuine interest in technology and an entrepreneurial spirit. They are currently developing version 2 of their 3D printer, where you will be involved in the entire flow – from ideas to finished product – and contribute your own creative solutions for their customers and projects. For larger projects, they also collaborate with an IT consulting company that provides additional resources. The culture is characterized by curiosity, personal responsibility, and independence; here you have great freedom to drive your own sub-projects in an environment with short decision-making paths and high engagement, while the team enjoys having lunch together and organizes after-work events when possible.About the role of CAD designer: In the role of CAD designer, you will have the opportunity to lead technical development projects with responsibility for the entire product development process. You will follow up on sprints and ensure that all parts of the development work together. You will work closely with production, management, and external partners, and be responsible for documentation, CE marking, and assembly instructions.Examples of job tasks:• Create and update CAD models in Autodesk Fusion or SolidWorks • Lead development projects and coordinate the team's work • Document the project's progress and technical solutions • Take actions to ensure project goals are met • Report project status to the CEO and the board, and participate in board meetings as needed • Produce documentation for CE marking and assembly instructions • Communicate with outsourced production resources and travel short distances as needed for project handoversRequirements:• YH/university engineering degree focusing on CAD, automation, mechatronics, electronics, or similar • Good proficiency in English, both spoken and written • At least 2 years of experience as a mechanical designer or similar role • Requirement for Swedish citizenshipMeritorious: -Interest in 3D printers -Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written -Understanding of production processes and flow processes -Participated in automation projects -Understanding of the process of ordering and managing CNC-milled components -Understanding of material selection or tolerances -Electrical certification -Experience in leading teamsWho are you as an applicant?-Structured -Proactive -Holistic thinkerAbout us: We at Framtiden are specialists in recruitment and consulting solutions within technology and IT.
