About the workplace

The home care service of Vaggeryd municipality is located in Vaggeryd and Skillingaryd, with each home care group based in their respective locality. Each home care group is divided into smaller teams, which allows for closer collaboration with a smaller group of colleagues. This also leads to increased continuity for the users who get to know the home care staff. Collaboration is an important part of the work, and we help each other both within home care groups and between localities.

In 2026, we have a working hours project that means the full-time measure has been reduced, over time, to 34 hours/week with maintained full-time salary. In addition to a lower full-time measure, we also have a good collaborative climate, a varied and meaningful job. Job responsibilities

Your workday starts at the home care office where you pick up your phone and see what your workday looks like. You travel to the users, either by car, bicycle, or on foot. At the users' homes, you motivate, assist, and support the individual based on their individual needs and wishes. This may involve medical interventions, personal care, cleaning, cooking, shopping, and laundry. You document interventions and events in our operational system Combine and maintain contact with the users' relatives. The work is often independent, but you have helpful colleagues just a call away. In your role, you also collaborate with home healthcare, case managers, rehabilitation staff, management, and administration.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained care assistant, preferably with previous experience in home care. Since the work requires good communication and documentation, we expect you to have a good command of Swedish in both speech and writing. It is a requirement that you have a B driver's license and that you can cycle. As a person, you are responsible, have a good empathetic ability, and are good at creating and maintaining relationships. You are service-oriented, have a positive attitude, and can handle rapid changes in the work.

During your work shift, you have a mobile phone as a work tool where you can see the tasks you need to perform. Therefore, we prefer that you are interested in and comfortable with technical solutions, welfare technology, and have computer skills. You will, of course, receive training in these solutions through an introduction. We offer both theoretical and practical introduction that is individually tailored based on your previous experiences.
