Your new job

As a nursing assistant with us, you will work with both care and support, always focusing on the individual's needs and participation. You contribute to strengthening the healthy, creating security, and giving the elderly the opportunity for a dignified and meaningful everyday life. The role also includes care and support at the end of life and palliative care.

The majority of your work involves providing personal care and support in everyday life. You perform simpler health care tasks according to delegation and assist with practical chores in the living environment. The work also includes various forms of reporting, documentation, and being a primary care contact. You will also be involved in encouraging and conducting activities that contribute to community, well-being, and quality of life.

Together with colleagues, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, coordinators, unit managers, and relatives, you create a safe and meaningful environment, plan and participate in activities that promote community, and actively contribute to quality and improvement work in the organization.

Your qualifications

You who are applying are a qualified nursing assistant and have an approved extract for protected professional title, or have applied for this. It is an advantage if you have previous experience from work in care and support.

You have good computer skills and master Swedish in speech, writing, and reading comprehension. The work also requires physical mobility as situations arise that cannot be predicted and must be solved in a manner suited to the situation.

Welcome to us

Stattutgatan's nursing home is located in Dalvik in Jönköping. The nursing home has 70 apartments distributed over 6 units. Four elderly care units, one dementia unit, and one unit for elderly people with mental disabilities. The main task of the workplace is to support and assist citizens in their daily lives and create an existence that contributes to meaningfulness and well-being for them. About 70 nursing assistants and caregivers work here, along with three unit managers sharing leadership.

Good to know

The recruitment concerns a permanent position as a nursing assistant with start date according to agreement. Jönköping Municipality works with full-time as the norm and always offers 100% employment.

The working hours are scheduled for day and evening shifts, both weekdays and weekends. We work with joint planning, which means that all or parts of your work shift may, if necessary, be assigned to another unit within our organization. Therefore, you need to be flexible in period planning as it is adapted to the needs of the organization.
