Therefore, we are now looking for a nursing assistant for our health center. Health Center Norslund/Svärdsjö has about 15,000 registered patients and approximately 75 employees in various professional categories. Nursing Assistant for Health Center Norslund/Svärdsjö, Falun

If you are eager to work at a fast pace with competent and friendly colleagues where the patient is the focus, we think you should apply to us! The job responsibilities include:

• Sample collection
• Checks such as ECG and blood pressure
• Spirometry
• Own reception including spirometry, suture removal, wounds, and catheterization
• Assist doctors during examinations/surgeries
• Schedule patients for checks/examinations
• Responsible for laundry, supplies, rinsing, and some cleaning

We are looking for someone who:

• has a degree from the Health and Care Program or equivalent relevant education
• has good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you:

• have experience in reception work
• have specialization in Emergency Care and Medicine 2
• have experience from working in primary care
• are stress-resistant and used to juggling many "balls in the air"

Information about the Job Title

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected job title (https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/underskoterska-blir-en-skyddad-yrkestitel/). This means that you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant within health and care.

You can apply for the certificate from July 1, 2023. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in health and care, but with a different title than nursing assistant. For those who are offered a job with us in Region Dalarna after July 1, the title in your employment contract will be Care Assistant until you can present your certificate. Those who had a permanent position with the title nursing assistant when the new regulations came into effect on July 1, 2023, can continue to use the title nursing assistant for 10 years. You can keep the title even if you change workplaces/employers after July 1. After that, you need to have a certificate of protected job title to use the title nursing assistant.
