Our Offer
The Primary Care Center Östergötland consists of 33 region-operated health centers, Vårdcentrum Finspång, the Child Health Care Unit, 1177 and emergency centers in the evenings and weekends, and the General Medicine Education Center. We conduct a broad primary care operation where we offer care to everyone throughout life; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and patients at the end of life.
We are a forward-looking organization with a strong focus on a good working environment, development, and good health. We actively work to create conditions for a sustainable working life while having an inspiring development approach to meet future challenges in primary care. With us, there are good development opportunities for those who want to advance in their profession, become a manager, or pursue other paths, such as specialization or research.
The ST training in general medicine in Region Östergötland is organized by the General Medicine Education Center (AMC), where study directors and educational secretaries coordinate side training, arrange courses and training, and participate in the design of the resident physician's training plan. Region Östergötland also has a specialist-wide ST office that organizes ST training for all specialties; read more about the ST office (click the link).
From 2025, Vårdcentralen Finspång and Skärblacka will be a joint operational area. The change aims to create a robust operation that is prepared to meet the demographic challenges we face in the future.
The operations currently have nearly 27,000 listed patients and a staff of about 120 employees. The new operational area includes the Finspång health center and the Skärblacka health center, as well as the Finspång emergency center. Included in the Finspång health center is also a branch in Rejmyre.
