About the Position

We are looking for a part-time archivist (approximately 20%) for a public organization in Gothenburg. In this role, you will work with organizing and cataloging archives, preparing preservation and disposal proposals for decision, and conducting disposal. You will primarily work closely with the archive coordinator.

Assignment Period and Scope:

The position of Archivist is a consultancy assignment of up to a maximum of 20% starting from 2026-03-01 to 2029-02-28 with the possibility of extension for a maximum of three months as an option. You will mainly be based at the organization’s office.

Requirements for the Position:

• University education in archival science 40 credits (60 ECTS) or equivalent education and at least one (1) year of work experience from similar work experience in handling archive issues in public organizations
• Knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
• Knowledge of document and case management systems (e.g., Public360, W3D3, Platina, Ciceron, Visual Archive)
• Familiarity with laws and regulations governing public organizations and the role and responsibilities of archivists
• Knowledge of standards in the archival field.
