MiM Knowledge Center is looking for a project manager who wants to be responsible for implementing, establishing, and further developing our activities in Uddevalla. The role involves a strategic and operational responsibility for translating the organization's vision and methods into practice through culture, youth engagement, and anti-racist work. You will play a central role in building sustainable structures, creating local collaborations, and developing activities that strengthen young people's participation, influence, and creative expression.
About MiM Knowledge Center
MiM Knowledge Center works to counteract racism, strengthen democratic participation, and create inclusive societies through culture, education, and youth-driven processes. Our method is based on participation, relationship-building, and creating platforms where young people can express themselves, organize, and influence their living conditions and local community. An important part of our work is to establish locally anchored activities in close cooperation with municipalities, civil society, and young people themselves.
About the role
As a project manager, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing MiM Knowledge Center's activities in Uddevalla. This means leading the work of building, executing, and developing activities that create long-term presence and relevance in the local community. You will be responsible for translating the organization's working methods and methodology into concrete activities, establishing trusting relationships with the target group, and creating structures that enable long-term development of activities. The role involves both strategic and operational work, from planning and collaboration to practical implementation and follow-up. You will work closely with young people aged 15–26, with a particular focus on the neighborhoods of Dalaberg and Hovhult.
Responsibilities
As a project manager, you are responsible for:
Implementing and establishing MiM Knowledge Center's activities in Uddevalla
- Building and developing local operational structures
- Ensuring that the organization's methods and values are integrated into the activities
- Contributing to long-term anchoring and sustainable development of the activities
Project managing and developing activities
- Planning, executing, and following up on projects and activities
- Responsible for operational planning, structure, and implementation
- Identifying development opportunities and contributing to the development of activities
Creating participation and empowering youth
- Working relationship-building and outreach with young people
- Supporting young people in developing and implementing their own projects
- Creating safe and inclusive meeting places
Collaborating and building partnerships
- Establishing and developing cooperation with the municipality, schools, and civil society
- Collaborating with cultural actors, associations, and other relevant partners
- Representing MiM Knowledge Center in local networks and contexts
Leading and coordinating
- Leading youth leaders, volunteers, and partners
- Coordinating activities, events, and project efforts
- Ensuring quality and continuity in the activities
We are looking for someone who
- Has experience in project management, organizational development, or youth work
- Has experience in establishing, running, and developing activities or projects
- Has a good ability to work both strategically and operationally
- Is self-driven, structured, and proactive
- Has good collaboration skills and experience in cooperating with various actors
- Has a strong commitment to anti-racism, democracy, and youth rights
- Is confident in building relationships and creating trust
Meritorious
- Experience working in socio-economically disadvantaged areas
- Experience in cultural projects or creative processes
- Educational background in pedagogy, social work, or culture
- Experience working with participant-based methods
- Local knowledge of Uddevalla
About the position
- 70% (evening work may occur)
- Project employment for 6 months with the possibility of extension
- Placement in Uddevalla
- Start date according to agreement
