About the workplace and your tasks

Within the specialty, we have a wide range as we care for patients with various interventions (surgical and medical) for both simple and more chronic conditions. This mix, along with generally short hospital stays, creates both a varied and developing work environment. The majority of the clinic's nursing assistants and nurses work both in outpatient care and inpatient care, which provides a stimulating workplace and a fantastic breadth of competence!

Our inpatient department has 5–7 beds and is located on ward 82. In the department, adult patients from the ENT clinic are cared for, as well as inpatient patients for Specialist Dental Care and the Eye Clinic. In the outpatient clinic, we take care of patients of all ages, both children and adults.

Common tasks in the outpatient clinic include:

• assisting in outpatient surgeries
• assisting in outpatient activities

Some of the clinic's nursing assistants have their own clinics and special functions such as dizziness investigations and clinics for patients with OSAS (obstructive sleep apnea syndrome).

This position involves rotation between day and night shifts, meaning work both in the department and the outpatient clinic. The weekend shifts included in the work schedule will primarily be night shifts.

About us

The Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic (ENT) at Halland Hospital conducts outpatient activities in Halmstad, Varberg, and Kungsbacka with inpatient care including emergency preparedness in Halmstad. The clinic employs about 80 staff members.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with a strong interest in ear, nose, and throat care. Experience from similar activities is an advantage. We value that you are a positive and secure person who can work both independently and in a team. You have the ability to organize your work and enjoy contact with people. You can work in a fast-paced environment and are open to learning new things. We want you to be meticulous and able to complete what you have started.
