As a nurse at SOS Alarm, you primarily work with telephone assessments and triage. You assess patients of all ages who have called 112 due to illness or injury with varying needs for assistance. Over the phone, you assess the need for an ambulance and provide emergency medical advice and care recommendations. Some of the calls involve guiding patients to the appropriate level of care, which requires you as a nurse to work safely and effectively. In your work, you collaborate with both internal and external actors, such as ambulance services and home healthcare.

You will receive a comprehensive introduction where you alternate between e-courses and training with a supervisor at the home center, as well as training days at our training unit in Kista.

As an SOS nurse, you will have a round-the-clock position with opportunities to influence your own schedule.

• Have a Swedish nursing license

• Have at least three years of work experience in the profession

• Have good computer skills

• Have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

• Have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written

We see that it is an advantage if you have experience in telephone assessments, relevant specialist nursing education, or additional language skills beyond Swedish and English.

The position starts in September 2026. You will begin your employment with internal training at full salary.

SOS Alarm conducts background checks and security assessments with register checks on its staff according to the requirements of the Security Protection Act (2018:585). A check according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies is also performed and is active during the employment period. A drug test without remarks is a prerequisite for employment. The position also involves military placement at SOS Alarm.
