We are now looking for summer substitutes at Ekhaga Care and Nursing Home in Onsala. You will receive introductory training with valuable knowledge about care and service.

About the role
Your task is to provide quality of life. You see each individual and have the ability to understand what each person needs. Thanks to you, those who live with us can maintain their lifestyle and habits. At the same time, you develop valuable knowledge about care, service, and aging.
As a nursing assistant/care assistant, you play a key role in a team with a nurse, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist who work closely together.
About Ekhaga Care and Nursing Home in Onsala In Onsala, you will find Ekhaga's care and nursing home. Here, dedicated and knowledgeable staff work with elderly individuals affected by physical illness or dementia. There are six units. In total, there are 94 apartments, of which 16 are double apartments.
Our beautiful outdoor environment creates conditions for us to spend a lot of time outdoors during the spring and summer. In our courtyard, we organize festivities and social activities together with others.
• We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that all of us who work here are trained in dementia and response through Vardaga's Dementia Academy. • At Ekhaga, we apply fixed schedules. You as an employee have the opportunity to influence your own working hours, based on needs and requests in consultation with your group manager. • We have a collaboration with the company Ung Omsorg. This means that a team of young people aged 14–18 visits us on weekends and during school breaks. Ung Omsorg organizes various activities to enhance the lives of our residents. • You have a group manager who spends most of their time working closely with you in the operation. Becoming a group manager can also be a career opportunity for you as a nursing assistant. • Here we work with animals in care and have regular visits from therapy dogs.
Your experience and knowledge
We assume that you who are applying to us:
- are attracted to a job that is varied and requires extensive knowledge of care and support but also a talent for meeting people in different situations.
- are a creative person who dares to think independently and take responsibility.
- enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues.
We prefer that you are a trained nursing assistant/care assistant or have equivalent experience in elderly care.
Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important. If you have the right qualities, we will provide you with support and opportunities to grow.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Start date: Ongoing recruitment, but most appointments will take place from mid-June 2026 and throughout the summer period until the end of August 2026. If you have specific requests for breaks from the period, please mention it in your application. Application deadline: 20260329.
