Åmåls Kommunfastigheter AB (ÅKAB) is a property company in the municipality of Åmål. We have apartments and premises for all needs. We manage approximately 1,100 housing units and have about 71,000 m2 of premises for manufacturing industry, offices/administration, as well as various types of storage and assembly spaces. We also own the swimming pool, city hall, library, fire department premises, municipal schools, preschools, and care facilities, and manage properties owned by Åmål Municipality. ÅKAB is certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

Main Responsibilities

As a facility technician, you will work with complex buildings that require significant property technical competence. You enjoy working with service, sometimes handling many cases simultaneously with short response times, but also working preventively at a calmer pace.

The work is varied, social, and independent, with demands for responsibility, flexibility, and initiative. Familiarity with computers and mobile phones is a given in your daily work.

Your tasks include, among other things:

• Supervision and maintenance of the properties' technical systems together with property managers, regarding e.g. ventilation, heating, cooling, control, and regulation systems.
• Alarm management, troubleshooting, and rectification of technical systems and installations.
• Planning and implementation of preventive maintenance.
• Participate in energy monitoring and energy efficiency measures together with the operations manager.
• Inputting values into energy systems.
• Contact with tenants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Annual inspections of charging stations.
• Invoices/orders regarding operations, such as water, electricity, heating.
• Also, as time allows, be able to step in and lend a helping hand in other contexts, such as during the transition of waste houses, shelters, etc. Adjustments to tasks may be made over time.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with some form of facility technical education/background/experience. We prefer that you have basic electrical knowledge and familiarity with applicable regulatory requirements.

It is important that you are social and have the ability to create an open and trusting dialogue with both tenants and colleagues.

You can work independently, have strong problem-solving skills, and work in a businesslike manner. You enjoy providing good service and always act professionally in your customer contacts. You want to help create a good and sustainable environment.

You have a good ability to work administratively using digital tools and can express yourself well in both speech and writing.

The position requires bank-ID/mobile bank-ID. On-call duty may be included.

The place of employment is Åmål, but work in smaller locations in the municipality may also occur.

Employment Scope

The position is permanent, full-time, with start date by agreement. A probationary period of 6 months may be applied. Please state salary expectations in your application.
