As a Street Engineer/Project Manager, you will belong to the Street and Recreation Unit. The unit consists of a manager and about 6 employees in street and park operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of the administrator include, among other things:

• participating in and/or being responsible for the unit's ongoing administration related to the municipality's responsibilities as a road holder. This may involve local traffic regulations, vehicle exemptions, traffic arrangement plans, excavation matters, traffic safety work, reporting to the national road database, and more.
• participating in and/or being responsible for other ongoing administration within the street and park operations' area of responsibility regarding, for example, market trading, swimming areas, and playgrounds, as well as being the unit's representative regarding GIS issues (Geographic Information System).
• participating in procurements within the unit's area.
• handling the administration of grants for private roads.
• handling certain tasks within finance such as invoicing, etc.

You will project manage the unit's construction and building projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone educated in community building, with equivalent education, or whom we assess has equivalent competence or experience.

We would like you to have good knowledge of the street and park operations' area of responsibility and a genuine interest in community building issues.

You are hopefully an experienced administrator with good knowledge of the Office suite and have an easy time expressing yourself in speech and writing.

We place great importance on personal suitability for the position.

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.
