We are looking for a Railway Maintenance Project Manager for Trafikverket stationed in Gothenburg.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The large project Västlänken is underway in Gothenburg. This assignment involves representing the interests of the maintenance district in the ongoing project. The assignment is part of the sub-project for Operation, Safety, and Coordination. The sub-project for operation, safety, and coordination aims to ensure effective operational and management coordination and to maintain a high safety standard within Västlänken. This means being responsible for coordination and the work environment at the shared workplace. The consultant will be involved in developing, shaping, and collaborating with the Västlänken project in Gothenburg within the sub-project Operation, Safety, and Coordination.

Scope of the Assignment and Expected Results

The consultant will have significant responsibility for managing complex maintenance issues within the sub-project Operation, Safety, and Coordination together with the Västlänken project during design, implementation, and completion. Furthermore, the consultant has a major responsibility for receiving and structuring the information that the project delivers for further handling within maintenance.

The sub-project will:

• Coordinate and optimize operational and management processes to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
• Ensure a safe and secure work environment for all parties involved through coordination of work environment efforts and preventive measures.
• Ensure individual safety by influencing appropriate personal protection measures and training to prevent and manage threats and risks.
• Ensure safety in tunnels by reviewing appropriate safety measures, effective fire protection measures, and procedures to minimize the risks of accidents developed by the Västlänken program before reception.
• Ensure protection of the facility and its assets by implementing adequate security measures.
• Develop routines and working methods for a reliable facility during the operational phase.
• Involve and communicate with external stakeholders such as authorities, nearby businesses, property owners, and the public to ensure transparency, understanding, and collaboration regarding safety issues and risk management.

Requirements (Note: Mandatory)

Ability to express oneself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing. Experience from working in project groups where coordination has been important. Verified through description.

Driving license B. At least 3 years of work experience as a project manager within the relevant technical area (Project Manager general railway). The work experience should not be older than 10 years. Knowledge of laws and regulations as well as standards and directives within the relevant area. The consultant must have completed BASÄSKYDD. Requirement of 3 years of work experience (as a project manager) from projects with multiple contractors (where the coordination function has been an essential part of the assignment).

Requirement of at least 1 year of work experience in complex infrastructure on road or railway with significant technical content corresponding to tunnel construction on road or railway. At least 3 years of experience working with the application of the Work Environment Act (AML), as well as the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations on Construction and Civil Engineering Work (AFS 1999:3). Must have completed training to function as the Client's construction work environment coordinator, BAS-P and BAS-U.
