Job Responsibilities
As a specialist nursing assistant with a focus on dementia, you have a central role in the organization. In addition to the usual tasks of a nursing assistant, you will work to develop and strengthen care for people with dementia within ordinary housing. With your specialist expertise, you will initiate and drive quality and operational development in the field of dementia, focusing on person-centered care and support for relatives.
In this role, you contribute to ensuring that care interventions are based on evidence-based practice and serve as a knowledge resource for colleagues through practical and theoretical support, including in social documentation and the establishment of implementation plans. You will guide colleagues and students, collaborate with licensed staff and other partners, and support the responsible manager in development and improvement work within the dementia field.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Nursing assistant education with proof of protected professional title
- Degree from post-secondary education covering at least 200 YH or at least 60 HP. The education should have a clear focus on dementia.
- 5 years of work experience in health care, medical care, or social care.
- Documented knowledge, skills, and experience in one or more specialist areas within health care, medical care, or social care.
- Familiar with using a computer as a work tool and has the willingness and ability to quickly learn new programs and systems.
- Good Swedish in speech and writing.
- Can cycle
Meritorious:
- Specific work experience in the dementia field
- Supervisor training (minimum VO-college step 2 or equivalent)
- Familiarity with current tools - for example, LifeCare, Procapita, Flexite, Senior Alert, and BPSD
As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks, are good at structuring your approach, and have the ability to drive your processes forward. You find it easy to adapt your way of conveying messages depending on people's different circumstances.
Based on your specialist knowledge, you particularly understand the professional aspects of the work and continuously maintain your specialist knowledge to be a knowledge resource for others.
Valuing differences and understanding how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others is a given for you.
About the Workplace
We are now looking for four specialist nursing assistants for three of our units - Kungsparken, Arenan, and Bulltofta. Kungsparken is based at Västra kanalgatan 6 or Erikslustvägen 17, Arenan is based at Stadiongatan 10, and Bulltofta is based at Södra bulltoftavägen 17.
