Your Role

As a Tool Designer within Aerospace Systems, you will play a central role in the development of tools for product assembly. Your mission is to design solutions that meet high standards for technology, environment, and economy - with a focus on quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

Your tasks will include:

  • Creating concepts
  • Producing documentation (2D and 3D)
  • Managing customer requirements for tools and documentation
  • Providing technical support to external tool suppliers
  • Working with production technology to ensure that design solutions meet requirements for buildability and ergonomics

The role involves close collaboration with production and purchasing departments, as well as with partners, external, and international suppliers. You will be responsible for introducing new technology and supporting existing production sections. The work also includes establishing and maintaining standards and operational documents. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in a technically evolving environment where collaboration, quality, and innovation are in focus.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is curious, structured, and enjoys working methodically towards clear goals. You have an interest in technology and development, and you are motivated by finding solutions that are both well thought out and sustainable over time. At the same time, you are social and attentive, with good collaboration skills and a desire to contribute to the team's collective success. The work takes place in both large and small projects where you have the opportunity to take action or grow into a leading role.

We believe you have:

  • An engineering degree or equivalent competence in design
  • Good computer skills with knowledge of CATIA or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Desirable for the position:

  • Previous work experience from assembly in paced production lines
  • Knowledge from the aerospace industry
  • Experience or interest in automation or AM (additive manufacturing)

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
