Your new workplace

Solgården Elderly Home is a residence for elderly people, with 49 places, both somatic and dementia places.

The residence is located in Indal and is built on two floors with 3 departments. The residence is staffed around the clock and has a nurse on site during weekdays, while other times nurses are available in the municipality.

We who work at Solgården are responsible for ensuring that the residents feel safe and receive the help and support they need. The need for assistance varies from simple practical tasks at home to advanced and qualified care as well as health and medical services.

At Solgården, we have many areas of responsibility, where there are great opportunities to develop and take responsibility, both individually and in groups. For example, regarding documentation and health and medical assignments.

The current position involves work across all three departments, two dementia departments, and one somatic department.

The scope of this position is 61%, and working hours are scheduled for night shifts (weekdays and weekends).

Your contribution as a nursing assistant

As a nursing assistant, your tasks include providing high-quality care to our care recipients based on individual needs. You should be able to work both independently and collaboratively with others in the team. We work in teams that include care staff, nurses, and rehabilitation personnel.

Tasks include:

• Providing care and service to residents with high quality.
• Establishing and following up on night interventions in the implementation plan in close communication with the care recipient.
• Documentation according to SoL and HSL.
• Risk assessments regarding the care recipient and the work environment.
• Guidance (e.g., new employees and students).
• Development of the operations and your own working methods.
• Performing delegated tasks according to HSL.
• Advocacy role based on needs.
• Performing laundry and cleaning.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who is primarily a trained nursing assistant with approved grades. Alternatively, you may also be a care assistant with at least five years of experience in care and support.

You can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing (at least Swedish or Swedish as a second language at the high school level if you are a nursing assistant and completed SFI D-education if you are a care assistant). You have good computer skills. A driver's license (B) is required if you do not live in the local area, as public transport is insufficient.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have completed online courses in Dementia ABC, ABC plus, and zero vision.
• Have experience in a caregiving profession.
• Have experience working with individuals with cognitive impairments.

• Have a genuine interest in working with people and a desire to help others.
• Focus on the resident's needs and are attentive to their wishes.
• Are service-oriented, calm, and able to handle stressful situations in a controlled manner.
• Have good verbal skills. In communication with individuals with cognitive impairments, you can express yourself briefly, calmly, and clearly when different situations arise, ensuring a good response.
• Are flexible and can quickly adapt to new conditions and prioritize your tasks.
• Take responsibility for your tasks, are independent, attentive, and strive to find solutions.
• Have good collaboration skills.
