Licensed psychologist wanted for PTP position

We welcome you who are a licensed psychologist or have a psychology degree and are looking for a PTP position. If you are interested in working preventively and health-promoting with children and adolescents in the school environment, this is your chance. We have two experienced licensed school psychologists who provide PTP supervision and offer a training program that includes all the components you need to become a licensed psychologist. You will be part of our network for school psychologists where you regularly meet for collegial exchange and external supervision.

You will work at two different schools in Torshälla, Gökstensskolan and Edvardslundsskolan. Together, we have 1,300 students from preschool to grade 9. Our previous school psychologist has completed their PTP training and has moved on to another assignment as a school psychologist within Eskilstuna municipality, which is why we are looking for you.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a school psychologist, you contribute your psychological expertise to create a safe and supportive environment where all students can develop. You work closely with school staff and student health teams to help students feel good and develop both socially and academically. The student health team consists of various professionals working for students' health and learning. Your work includes supervising and advising school staff, both individually and in groups, so they can better support students' development. You also provide support and advice to guardians, write referrals, and collaborate with external actors such as BUP and Habilitation. If necessary, you conduct assessments, for example, if there is a suspicion of intellectual disability. Your expertise is utilized in educational initiatives and projects that promote students' schooling and well-being. As a school psychologist, you do not work with therapeutic interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed psychologist or has a psychology degree and is ready for PTP training. You are flexible, self-assured, and able to adapt to the needs of students and the school. Your empathetic and attentive approach allows you to build trust and meet people with respect. You take responsibility and can independently manage your tasks. We prefer that you have worked with children and adolescents and are both curious and exploratory. Collaboration skills are important as you will work closely with many colleagues and different professional groups.
