Do you want to help develop the airport environments of the future? As a Facility Manager within Water and Sewage (VA), you play a crucial role in Swedavia's efforts to ensure the operational reliability and functionality of water facilities in a sustainable and cost-effective manner.
You will be part of the strategic management team where you, together with colleagues, operational activities, and process management, drive long-term improvements for Swedavia's airports. The position is based at Arlanda, but travel to Swedavia's other airports may occur a few times a year based on operational needs. What does the role entail? As a facility manager within VA, you are responsible for managing and developing the airport's water facilities and ensuring that we meet the requirements of our environmental permit. The facilities handle wastewater, stormwater, drinking water, process water, and glycol-contaminated stormwater.
The role primarily focuses on stormwater and drinking water areas. Work in other areas, such as wastewater, may occur.
Your tasks include:
investigating and planning the need for operational and renewal measures.
developing management plans for periods of 1–20 years.
acting as a requirement setter and reviewer in development projects.
providing support to our project managers who carry out our development projects with expertise about the facilities.
serving as a contact for VA-related issues with both internal and external stakeholders.
Who are you? We are looking for someone with a university degree or master's degree in civil engineering, environmental and water technology, or another relevant field.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
A broad understanding and good knowledge of VA systems and stormwater management
Experience with heavy rainfall projects
Experience in planning reinvestments and major maintenance measures
Experience in investigative work within VA
Knowledge of environmental legislation
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Good IT skills and knowledge of the Office suite
Experience and knowledge in CAD and GIS
A valid driver's license (B), which is required to navigate the facilities
As a person, you are solution-oriented and analytical. You are structured, driven, and have good collaboration skills.
What do we offer you? A fantastic opportunity to be involved in managing and developing our work to ensure our water and sewage facilities at the airports of the future!
If you have questions about the position, please contact Mathias Rudh at [email protected]
The application deadline is March 6, 2026, and we look forward to your application!
