Your Responsibilities

We are now looking for two new nursing assistants at Linghem's nursing home who want to be part of our wonderful community. The positions are permanent employment with a working degree of 75-100%. Your working hours will be scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.

With us, you will work to meet each individual's specific needs. Together with your colleagues, you are an important piece in creating a meaningful everyday life for our residents. You will work to create opportunities for social interaction and participate in various activities. The role of a nursing assistant also includes care tasks, which involve, for example, assistance with transfers, personal hygiene, household chores, and medical interventions.

We work based on IBIC (the individual's needs in focus) and with the individual's best interests in mind. Our work is also characterized by a salutogenic approach, which means focusing on the healthy and drawing out the person's own abilities. You will have the opportunity for development in your role as you are assigned a contact responsibility for a number of individuals. This means that you participate in welcome conversations where you plan support measures together with the individual. You are responsible for implementation plans and document in the Treserva system. The role also includes maintaining close contact with relatives and other partners.

Your Workplace

Linghem's nursing home is beautifully located in Linghem, just 7 minutes by train from Linköping and 21 minutes from Norrköping, followed by a short 10-minute walk. We share facilities with Linghem's sheltered housing where home care is based. Many of our residents participate in the meeting point in the afternoons for social interaction, including music, reading aloud, baking, quizzes, and bingo. The meeting point also has recurring services such as foot care and hairdressing. The building is also close to community services such as a health center, pharmacy, and grocery store.

The nursing home consists of three departments with a total of 24 places, of which one department is focused on dementia. You will belong to a workgroup consisting of 18 nursing assistants and care assistants where the work is characterized by flexibility and community, and we collaborate closely between departments.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare. You should have experience from previous work in care and support, preferably with experience in dementia. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of a salutogenic approach, familiarity with low-arousal responses, and experience with the IBIC (the individual's needs in focus) method.

Work in elderly care involves a lot of customer contact and documentation, which means we require you to be able to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish. You should also be able to use digital tools in your work.

As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and drive your work forward. You also work well with others and listen and communicate clearly. It is also important that you have an empathetic ability that allows you to understand others' perspectives and situations. You adapt easily to changing circumstances and can quickly change your viewpoint and approach.
