The Role of Nursing Assistant

As a nursing assistant with us, you will have significant responsibility for patient care and work closely with both nurses and nursing assistants in a safe and engaged team. Your tasks are varied and include, among other things, venipuncture, catheter insertion, wound dressing, monitoring vital parameters, and documentation. We value the right use of competence (RAK), which means that you always work with what you have the right knowledge and competence for.

Teamwork is a working method that we highly value, and the nursing assistant plays an important role in this. There is also some palliative care on the unit. The work as a nursing assistant involves care and nursing but also monitoring, sampling, and documentation.

Unit G is an acute care department within the medicine and geriatrics clinic where we care for patients with everything from strokes and neurological diseases to geriatric acute care. Our operations are a dynamic mix of acute interventions such as thrombolysis and rehabilitation work, where exciting investigation cases are also included.

Teamwork is a cornerstone for us, and the nursing assistant has a central role in this. We also work with palliative care, where care and attention go hand in hand with sampling, monitoring, and documentation.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is engaged in their profession and wants to contribute to maintaining our high quality of care. You are a trained nursing assistant and want to work in an organization focused on the patient's best interests and at the forefront of medical results. You thrive in a team and contribute to a positive work environment with your colleagues both in terms of collaboration and in developing and improving the organization.

As a person, you are structured, independent, and can plan your work effectively. Communication and collaboration come naturally to you, and you easily adapt when circumstances change.

Since we also care for geriatric patients, knowledge about older individuals and knowledge about people with dementia is valuable. Personal suitability is highly regarded, and it is a plus if you have worked in inpatient care.
