The responsibility of the Health and Care Administration is to provide care, support, and assistance to the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as to support their relatives. Our goal is to provide good conditions for an independent, stimulating, and safe living situation - around the clock, with a citizen-focused approach. We are 2,500 employees who provide support and care to citizens in need.

The Position and Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant at Kärsdala Care and Nursing Home, you will be responsible for planning and performing qualified care work for the residents together with your colleagues.

All work at the home is based on the needs and wishes of the residents, which shapes the daily planning and execution of various tasks throughout the day. The work requires you to manage the role of contact person for several residents in your group. Daily social journaling and the establishment of care plans are included in the assignment.

We are looking for several nursing assistants for our departments with dementia and somatic focus. We seek staff who can work either during the day and evening as well as every other weekend on a rotating schedule or work only night shifts. You may need to work in different departments as needed, especially if you are working night shifts, as night staff do not have a fixed placement in any department.

We place great importance on the ability to collaborate with colleagues, relatives, and other staff.

At Kärsdala Care and Nursing Home, we work in teams where you always work together with other colleagues. You will also work with other professionals such as nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and administrators who support you in your daily work. Working hours are scheduled during the day and evening between 07:00–21:00 and also every other weekend. Night shifts are scheduled between 20:50 - 07:10.

Kärsdala Care and Nursing Home, located in the scenic Tullinge near commuter trains and shops, offers a workplace with three units for dementia care and two departments with somatic focus. Due to water damage, part of our operations is temporarily located at Brotorp Care and Nursing Home. Therefore, some positions may be placed in Brotorp for a period.

Who We Are Looking For

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone with a high school education from the health and care program, nursing assistant training, or equivalent. You should be able to receive delegation from healthcare personnel. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Good computer/digital skills are required to manage the assignment as work is conducted in several digital systems.

It is an advantage if you have:

• previous experience in elderly care.
• completed a supervisor training, dementia training, and training in palliative care.

You who apply have good collaboration skills and enjoy building relationships. You are structured and organized and plan your work both independently and together with colleagues while following existing routines. In your work, you will have the opportunity to use your problem-solving skills, as no day is the same.

Upon employment, a police record extract (Form 442.9) must be presented (in an unopened envelope). Please note that the normal processing time for a complete application until the extract is received is approximately 2 weeks.
