About the assignment

We are now looking for a resource consultant for the Swedish Transport Administration's ordering organization in the role of technical specialist in signaling technology for railways. In this assignment, you will contribute your specialist expertise to the Swedish Transport Administration's investment projects and also support other projects and programs within the areas of Investment and Major Projects as needed.

About the role

As a technical specialist in signaling technology, you will be part of an environment where technology and environmental development are in focus. You will work closely with both internal specialists and external consulting firms, contributing to quality-assured, sustainable, and cost-effective technical solutions in the Swedish Transport Administration's projects.

The assignment includes, among other things:

  • Participating in design meetings together with consulting engineers.
  • Assessing the reasonableness of ATRs (Activity, Time, and Resources), notifications, and changes (change, addition, and outgoing work).
  • Ensuring a structured dialogue and follow-up between consultants and the Swedish Transport Administration's specialists.
  • Evaluating and developing the requirements for design in collaboration with other technical specialists, including formulating and revising requirements.
  • Following up that the correct scope of the design is carried out in relation to the contracted assignment.
  • Working to ensure that the technical solutions developed are cost-effective from a lifecycle perspective.

Mandatory requirements

All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.

  1. Has completed the Swedish Transport Administration's signaling technical course BSIÖG 2 or can demonstrate equivalent knowledge acquired in another way.
  2. Has documented experience in calculations and economic assessments.
  3. Has good knowledge of the Swedish Transport Administration's regulations regarding signaling systems for railways (TDOK and TRVINFRA).
  4. Has verified knowledge of AB, ABT, ABK (Training in the regulations ABK09, AB04, and ABT06. A copy of the training/course certificate is required to verify knowledge.
  5. Has at least five (5) years of experience working in the signaling technology area for railways in the Swedish Transport Administration's facilities.
  6. Has completed at least two (2) verified technical/functional investigations within the signaling technology area for railways in the Swedish Transport Administration's facilities.

Assignment information

The contract is valid from 2026-04-06 or as soon as possible after the contract is signed for one (1) year.

Option: The client has the unilateral right to extend the contract with existing contract terms for an additional 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 months.

The estimated workload for the assignment is 80-100% with an annual working time of 1,700 hours.

The stationing location for the resource consultant is // Linköping // Solna // Luleå //. This assignment requires physical presence at the Swedish Transport Administration's office three days a week.
