Your tasks

One of our nurses will be on parental leave, and we are therefore looking for a colleague for a temporary position until 2027-08-31.

As a nurse at Möjetorps nursing home, you have a central role in the operation. You work closely with patients, care staff, the operations manager, and other professionals to ensure safe and patient-centered care.

Your responsibilities include patient accountability, and you have an overarching responsibility according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) in your daily work. You perform independent medical assessments, plan and follow up on interventions, and ensure that health and medical work is carried out with good quality. You participate in medical rounds once a week and as needed for urgent assessments.

You are part of the management team along with the operations manager, coordinator, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist. Furthermore, you participate in quality councils and in the multiprofessional teamwork. In this role, you are expected to contribute to and drive quality and development work, for example related to Senior Alert, the BPSD registry, and the Swedish Palliative Registry.

An important part of the role is to mentor, support, and develop the care staff's competencies and contribute to the development of working methods and routines within the operation.

Your workplace

Möjetorps nursing home is a smaller nursing home with a total of 21 places. The residence has two somatic departments and one dementia department. Approximately 25 regular employees and substitutes work in the operation as needed. The work is carried out in multiprofessional teams where nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, coordinators, and operations managers collaborate in daily work.

The medical care needs are varied. Interventions may include medication management, insulin treatment, catheter treatment, and simpler wound care.

The residence is located in Hjulsbro in a quiet and nature-close residential area. The operation is concentrated on the ground floor. The operations manager and coordinator are close by in daily work.

Working hours are mainly scheduled during the day with service on one weekend and two weekday evenings during a scheduling period.

Who you are

We are looking for a licensed nurse in Sweden. Experience of work or clinical practice in elderly care is an advantage, as is previous work in municipal health and medical care, but not a requirement.

You have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing and experience in documentation in operational systems.

A B driver's license is required as travel in the service occurs. You also need to be able to get around by bicycle if necessary.

As a person, you collaborate well with others and resolve conflicts constructively. You are structured and have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge based on different conditions. Furthermore, you have a flexible approach and the ability to make assessments and priorities. You lead, motivate, and empower others to achieve common goals.
