Närvård Frostviken in Gäddede is now looking for nursing assistants or caregivers for summer positions in elderly care.

Närvård Frostviken is a joint organization between Strömsund Municipality and Region Jämtland Härjedalen. By bringing together health centers, ambulance services, special housing, and home care under the same organization, a close and cohesive care system is created for the population in Frostviken. The goal is to offer safe, high-quality, and cost-effective care with short decision-making paths and close cooperation between professionals.

The operation is located in Gäddede where the health center, the special housing Levinsgården, and the secure housing Forsgården are gathered. Home care is based at Forsgården, which contributes to natural collaboration between the operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nursing assistant, you will support people in their daily lives based on assistance decisions and implementation plans.

The tasks are varied, but some of the most common tasks are as follows:

• Help with household chores such as cleaning and laundry, making beds, or shopping and cooking.
• Personal care includes assistance with showering and toilet visits, dressing, and fixing hair or helping during meals.
• Your role also includes enriching the daily lives of those you assist with various activities. This can be having extra social interaction, going for a walk, or playing games. Only your imagination sets the limits.
• Medical tasks such as checking blood pressure, applying dressings, or administering medication. However, this requires delegation and is something you will learn over time.

Through workplace introduction, you will be given the conditions to perform the work required by the task and follow the rules of order that exist in the workplace as well as those of the municipality as an employer.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a trained nursing assistant and/or has experience working with elderly individuals
• Is responsible, secure, and has a professional attitude
• Enjoys collaborating with colleagues but also takes personal responsibility and works independently when needed
• Can express themselves well in spoken and written Swedish, as Swedish is a fundamental prerequisite for communicating with colleagues, care recipients, and documenting safely
• Has good computer skills and understands the importance of documentation for quality and continuity in care

A driver's license is required for work in home care.
