Finnlines is in an expansion phase and we are now looking for more chefs to join our wonderful kitchen teams. As a ship's chef at Finnlines, you will work in a small team where collaboration and communication are important for everyone to thrive.

As a ship's chef, you will work closely with your colleagues, focusing on providing our passengers with a great dining experience. In addition to the buffet for our passengers, you will also prepare meals for all staff working on board the ship.

We place great emphasis on your knowledge of self-control, kitchen hygiene, daily planning, and kitchen economy. All our chefs participate in the ordering process. You should have completed chef training and have at least 3-5 years of experience working as a chef. We prefer candidates who are creative, enjoy working on both the hot and cold sides, and can prepare good traditional dishes.

We are looking for someone who is open to working both short and longer periods with us! There is a chance for a permanent position.

Regular staff work two weeks on board and are off for two weeks, etc. For temporary positions, other schedules may apply. During your working periods, you will live on board.

Before employment, you will undergo safety training to ensure you feel secure in your role and have the right knowledge.

In maritime operations, there is a requirement for you to be a Ship's Chef. This means that you will need to apply for a certificate from the Transport Agency with proof from your chef training. You should have a few years of work experience.

In addition, you need to have:

· Full Basic certificate

· HACCP certificate

· Knowledge of self-control

· Knowledge of kitchen economy

· Hygiene knowledge in a kitchen

· Proficiency in Swedish and English is required
