Are you motivated by making good business deals, creating long-term relationships, and ensuring quality and delivery within the procurement segment? We are now looking for a Project Buyer for the construction operations within Peab in Jämtland, Härjedalen, and Västernorrland, with the workplace located in Östersund. Here you will play a key role in contributing your business acumen and procurement expertise to best support our construction projects.
About the role
As a Project Buyer, you will work closely with site management and production, driving the entire procurement process which includes planning, supplier assessments and selections, negotiations and follow-ups, handling deviations and contracts. The work is both operational and strategic, with your primary goal being to ensure purchases at the lowest total cost, including quality, service, logistics, delivery precision, and minimized risk exposure. The role also includes responsibility for the local framework agreements with subcontractors in the area of the site manager.
Depending on the size of the projects, you will work on a large project or several smaller ones, and in this work, you will have close collaboration with estimating, production, and KMA functions within the workgroup. As a Project Buyer, you will be part of a network with other buyers in the construction sector in northern and southern Norrland, where experience sharing, information, and market monitoring are part of your development in the field.
There is also room within the role to support projects in matters related to project economics and contract issues if there is interest.
About you
To be successful in the role of Project Buyer, you should have an understanding of the construction process and how it appears from the estimating phase to delivery, or have worked in a similar role in another closely related industry.
You consider yourself structured, analytical, service-oriented, and communicative, and have an educational background in procurement, construction, engineering, or industrial economics. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, a B driver's license, and good computer skills.
