About the Company
GKN Aerospace Sweden is part of GKN Aerospace, which manufactures engine components, aircraft structures, cabin windows, wiring, and much more for many of the world's aircraft. The companies in the Aerospace division that work with parts for jet engines form Engines, and at the facility in Trollhättan, advanced parts for engines for aircraft and space rockets are developed and manufactured. They also work with engine maintenance.
GKN Aerospace has production facilities in Trollhättan, Kongsberg (Norway), Mexico, and the USA. They also have an engineering office in Bangalore, India, and offices in Stockholm (Public Affairs) and Gothenburg. The headquarters for Engines is located in Trollhättan.
Your Responsibilities
As a CAM programmer, you will work in a team within a value stream or project where your mission is, together with your team, to ensure that you deliver the right quality, at the right cost, and on time. You will work daily to ensure product quality and delivery, as well as more long-term to carry out planned improvement tasks. You will coordinate activities related to production preparation, tool manufacturing, tool design, method engineering, etc.
The focus is on the development and improvement of our products where you strive for zero defects. This is achieved through a mindset with 100% focus on quality and with the help of quality tools such as PFMEA, SPC, and problem-solving.
Strong teams are fundamental to achieving goals, where you contribute with your expertise, curiosity, and team spirit to create a working environment with a winning culture.
You will have close communication with operators and other engineers in daily work, as well as participate in discussions with customers regarding production technical issues.
You will participate in technology development and industrialize new methods, processes, and working methods to meet strategies within the area and on the product.
Your Profile
As a person, you have your own drive and a desire to learn new things, both regarding working methods and technologies. You enjoy working in a team, while also being fearless and self-driven, and you do not give up until you have found an answer or a way forward. It is desirable that you are fact-oriented and have an analytical ability to make logical reasoning and base decisions on facts.
Requirements for the position:
Work experience in CAM
At least 15 credits in a relevant field, or substantial experience in CAM programming
The work requires good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
It is an advantage to have knowledge of multi-axis machining, Teamcenter, and NX or similar programming systems. It is also advantageous if you have worked in early phases of production and have knowledge of FAI and frozen processes. Knowledge of quality tools such as PFMEA, SPC, and problem-solving is also advantageous.
