About the workplace

Welcome to the Property Management Department!

The Property Management Department, with around 70 employees, is responsible for the management and development of the city’s owned and built properties and condominiums. The department drives construction projects and assists other departments in the local supply process. The premises must be functional and managed with low environmental impact and low operating costs. The operations are run as a profit unit with a long-term sustainable perspective and in competition with other actors. The premises are leased on commercial terms with clear rental agreements and market-like rents. The Property Management Department is a distinct ordering organization.

The department has its own expertise in management, project management, local supply, administration, as well as technology, security, and environment. Services beyond this are procured competitively. The Property Management Department manages 269 local objects with a total area of over 700,000 m2 and 600 residences with an area of 25,000 m2, with a recorded value of a total of 4,500 million SEK. We have a turnover of 1,000 million SEK and invest 500-600 million SEK per year.

Our goal is to be Sweden's smartest property developer with a focus on efficient operational premises.

Job Responsibilities

In your role as an assistant construction project manager, you will primarily coordinate and lead construction projects for our property department together with the construction project manager.

Examples of job responsibilities include purchasing consultants and contractors, project management, construction management, establishing and monitoring budgets, etc.

You have the right prerequisites for the position if you have experience in construction project management as well as experience in contracting and construction service operations.

Qualifications

You have a degree in construction engineering or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

You have several years of work experience in the construction industry as a construction project manager and/or a leading role in contracting or construction service operations.

Your approach is businesslike, but you understand and respect the conditions in a politically governed organization.

As a person, you find it easy to create contacts and have good collaboration skills. You work with a service-oriented and goal-oriented approach, and you can see the operations from a holistic perspective. You have negotiation experience and can prioritize and take your own initiatives. Furthermore, it is important that you are driven, self-sufficient, responsible, structured, and meticulous. Through your interest and engagement, you have the ability to develop the work and contribute to the department's and management's development.
