Do you want a job where your efforts make a difference in people's lives? We at the adult unit are now looking for two social workers who are interested in working with individuals facing social psychiatric and/or substance abuse issues. Welcome with your application!

The adult unit is part of the process 'A Safe and Healthy Life' under the Department of Labor, Competence, and Welfare. The adult group currently consists of five case workers, a team leader, and a unit manager. We investigate substance abuse and dependency issues, domestic violence, and social psychiatry.

Two of the case workers primarily focus on investigating substance abuse and dependency issues, while three focus on investigating social psychiatric issues. All case workers handle investigations related to domestic violence.

The core mission of the Department of Labor, Competence, and Welfare is to provide support and assistance to help individuals become self-sufficient and live independently, to provide support, help, and services to children, youth, and adults through investigations and interventions, and to promote adult learning.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker, you will work with authority and decision-making according to the Social Services Act (SOL) and the Act on Care of Abusers (LVM). The work includes collaborating with other authorities such as the region and probation services. It also involves some investigative work related to domestic violence. Primarily, you will focus on investigating substance abuse and dependency issues, but investigating social psychiatric issues may also occur.

The work is conducted in close collaboration with individuals, relatives, colleagues, and other partners both within and outside the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

We expect you to have:

  • a degree in social work or another qualification deemed equivalent
  • strong ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish, as the work involves both oral and written tasks
  • a valid driver's license for follow-up of interventions.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • knowledge of IBIC, ASI, AUDIT/DUDIT, FREDA, SARA, PATRIARK, and MI
  • experience in authority work within social psychiatry, substance abuse and dependency issues, and domestic violence
  • experience in documentation
  • experience with the LifeCare journal system
  • experience in psychosocial treatment work, treatment work, or similar investigative work.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and self-aware. You are attentive, have the ability to listen, and understand people's different circumstances. To succeed in the role, you take responsibility for your tasks and work towards goals with a focus on results. Furthermore, you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. It is important that you express a positive attitude towards your work and the organization, and that you have excellent collaboration skills. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
