Information Security Officer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an information security officer, you will be an important part of the municipality's work to develop and maintain a systematic and risk-based information security effort. The role is both operational and supportive, focusing on translating governance and requirements into practical implementation in the operations you support. You will help the operations translate complex requirements into something they can manage and understand.

Examples of job tasks:

• Participate in the development and management of internal governance documents, guidelines, and procedures within information security.
• Participate in and support the implementation of risk analyses and information classification in the operations.
• Support in matters concerning requirements, secure information management, and compliance with laws and internal regulations.
• Participate in projects and development initiatives where information security requirements need to be identified and addressed.
• Contribute to the follow-up and improvement of the systematic information security work.
• Plan and conduct information efforts, training, and presentations to strengthen knowledge and awareness in the organization.

In this role, you will help build a long-term sustainable security culture where information security is a natural part of the operations' responsibilities and decision-making. You will work closely and support the municipality's CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) and be part of a working group together with the information security coordinator and information security officer, but also work with other functions within the Security and Preparedness Office, IT roles, and the municipality's various operations. Together, you will contribute to ensuring that the municipality's information is handled securely, legally, and efficiently in everyday life as well as in crises.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• high school education with an IT focus. Alternatively, you have other education combined with relevant work experience for the position
• good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience in requirement specification regarding information security in procurement
• experience working with or knowledge of MCF's methodological support
• experience or knowledge in the areas of public access and confidentiality and/or GDPR
• experience or knowledge of the principles of incident management, risk analysis, and information classification

To succeed and thrive in the role, you need to have high professional ethics and integrity, as well as a strong interest in information security and a desire to contribute to maintaining and developing the municipality's work in the area. You need to be analytical and have the ability to independently structure, plan, and prioritize your work. You will collaborate both within the Security and Preparedness Office and with other operations within the municipality and external actors, so it is important that you have good collaboration skills and contribute positively in these collaborations. A key to success in the role is also that you can meet and understand the needs of the operations and communicate in a pedagogical way both verbally and in writing.

Security clearance may be required for the person who is considered for the position.
