Road and construction manages land and construction projects for businesses, the state, and municipalities. Do you want to help strengthen Stockholm's electricity grid? Together with Svenska kraftnät, we are building a 400 kV cable connection of approximately 10 km, from Kronåsen to Råcksta. We are starting preparations now, production will begin after the summer of 2026, and the goal is to complete the project by autumn 2030. With high sustainability requirements and an upcoming BREEAM Infrastructure certification, we are now looking for a driven and committed sustainability coordinator.

Ensure the project meets its environmental goals
As a sustainability coordinator, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating environmental work and ensuring that the project meets environmental and contractual requirements. You will ensure that important environmental aspects are handled correctly and support the project team in planning, prioritization, and risk identification related to environmental issues. You will also be responsible for coordinating Skanska's work with BREEAM Infrastructure with Svenska kraftnät's assessor and project manager.
You will continuously follow up to ensure that the client's requirements are met and act as Skanska's representative towards Svenska kraftnät. In this role, you will also contribute to the project's overall sustainability work by translating requirements and goals into concrete activities that enhance the project's sustainability performance and reduce climate impact.
You will, among other things:
- Plan and lead environmental and quality-related activities to ensure that work is carried out in a structured and timely manner.
- Clarify and translate the project's environmental policy and guidelines into practical methods that are easy to use in everyday life.
- Follow up that the project's environmental controls are carried out as planned.
- Develop and improve routines that create clarity and structure in the project's environmental and quality work.
- Participate in meetings with the client and contribute with documentation, analyses, and recommendations.
- Support production by reviewing quality documents and participating in work related to deviations and improvement measures.
- Coordinate joint initiatives within environment and quality and ensure that these are planned, executed, and followed up systematically.
- Be responsible for the project's environmental plan.
Structured and relationship-building sustainability specialist
We are looking for someone who enjoys being out in production and likes to be close to both people and operational work. You are curious, fearless, and eager to ask questions to understand the whole picture and develop work methods together with others.
You are communicative and build relationships in an open and trusting manner. With a positive and innovative mindset, you see opportunities even when things change, and you take initiatives that create security for both yourself and the team. At the same time, you are structured and appreciate order and tidiness, which helps us stay on track and succeed together.
Requirements for the role:
- Have worked with environmental issues according to the Environmental Code, including self-monitoring, follow-up, and action plans.
- Have experience identifying risks that may arise in contracts and planning and following up on protective measures.
- Have good knowledge of laws and regulations regarding chemicals, waste, hazardous substances, energy and fuel use, and protection of air, water, and land.
- Have worked to ensure that the business complies with regulations towards supervisory authorities and follow up that measures yield the desired results.
The sustainability coordinator should have at least three years of experience in the above areas or:
- Completed at least one project from start to finish in the construction and civil engineering industry or in maintenance operations in the energy sector.
It is advantageous if you have previously worked on a cable project or land and construction project. It is also advantageous if you have education and certification in BREEAM Infrastructure.

The position requires a university degree, fluent Swedish skills in both spoken and written form, and very good English skills.
