About the position

We are looking for someone who wants to work as part of a team in our school kitchen. Working hours are mainly during the day and weekdays. Occasional weekend work may occur during special events, especially in the summer.

You will work alongside two other chefs and a kitchen assistant in a dynamic environment with many different guests. The school has a wide range of educational programs, which requires staff to have a sense of service and the ability to meet different personalities and needs.

Experience from restaurants, large kitchens, school kitchens, or folk high schools is an advantage but not a requirement – the most important thing is that you have a willingness to contribute with your skills and commitment.

We apply a 6-month probationary period.

Responsibilities:

• Daily cooking and serving
• Ensuring that hygiene and safety regulations are followed
• Participation in daily kitchen tasks, we work as a team.
• Contributing to a pleasant environment in the dining room

Responsibilities may also include participation in joint staff meetings, catering, conferences, summer activities, business development, etc.
