About the Job

Do you want to help develop patient safety in the City of Gothenburg? The city has gathered all those with the assignment as MAS and MAR in the Elderly and Health and Social Care Administration and has the responsibility for the entire city based on that assignment.

The Medical Responsible Nurse (MAS) is part of a separate unit together with the city's Medical Responsible for Rehabilitation (MAR). The unit's task is to support and develop quality work in the administration.

In your role as MAS, you are one of Gothenburg City's experts in patient safety. In this assignment, you are responsible for developing and ensuring the quality of municipal health and medical care together with MAR and operational managers. You investigate and follow up that the operations systematically work with patient safety, propose improvements based on identified deficiencies. The work also includes documenting, writing reports, analyses, and service statements, as well as developing guidelines according to legislation and ensuring that the operations systematically work with patient safety. In your work, you are responsible for investigating and reporting according to Lex Maria.

Your assignment includes contributing to the unit's work to develop cooperation between MAS, MAR, and SAS, and the operations that provide health and medical care, as well as contributing to the administration's quality work as a whole.

About You

You are a licensed nurse with several years of experience in municipal health and medical care. It is an advantage if you have a master's degree or are a specialist nurse in the field, as well as if you have other relevant further education such as the Medical Legal Advanced Course for MAS/MAR. You may have experience from previous MAS assignments and/or quality and development work in a leading position, preferably as a manager, in a politically governed organization.

You should be well-versed in the legislation for health and medical care and have experience working with investigations and event analysis.

In your role as MAS, it is important that you have the ability to share information and improvement proposals, both verbally and in writing. You can adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation. You have the ability to build trust and drive improvement work in collaboration with others. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole.

When new information arises, you have the ability to adapt your working methods and approach. You see opportunities for change and create situations where new ideas and proposals can develop.

In this role, you will collaborate with other professionals to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you promote a respectful work climate. You are comfortable in social contact areas, stand by decisions made, and can convey uncomfortable messages when necessary.
