The Mark Workshop in Skövde is a department within the FMTS unit, and we have about 190 employees. We primarily perform maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' land equipment but also for the air force and navy, and we provide technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of inspections, renovations, repairs, manufacturing, disassembly, modifications, and repair technical analyses.

You will belong to the Saddlery detail, where you will be part of a smaller team that works together and supports each other. Everyone is equally important, and the work environment encourages collaboration where knowledge is shared and supported.
Job Responsibilities
As a tent and field equipment repair technician, you will work with sewing in heavier and lighter materials, as well as the construction and manufacturing of the Armed Forces' field equipment such as tents, stretcher bags, backpacks, and tarpaulins, etc. There is also work for external customers. You will repair, maintain, and carry out reconstruction and modification work. The job responsibilities also include dialogue with the customer to achieve constructive solutions.
Qualifications
- High school or post-secondary education focusing on saddlery, upholstery, or sewing. Alternatively, work experience deemed equivalent.
- General computer skills

You work well independently and can take your own initiatives, as well as having a good ability to work in a team. The role can sometimes involve an intense work pace as well as varied tasks, so it is important that you are stress-resistant and a problem solver who can prioritize among tasks. As part of a small workgroup, collaboration and flexibility are two key words. You are service-oriented and value good cooperation with both colleagues and customers.

Meritorious
- Work experience as an upholsterer, tent repair technician, or tarpaulin maker.
- Experience working with sewing in leather, tarpaulin, or similar materials
- Knowledge of the Office suite, primarily Word and Excel
