The mission of Svensk Kärnbränslehantering AB (SKB) is to manage the radioactive waste from Swedish nuclear power plants safely and efficiently. With world-leading technology and care for people, the environment, and society, we create opportunities for fossil-free electricity production.
Today, approximately 550 people are employed at SKB. We have extensive collaboration with experts and contractors outside the company.
SKB's headquarters is located in Arenastaden in Solna. We also have offices in Oskarshamn and Forsmark in Östhammar municipality, where we have facilities and conduct various activities in preparation for the construction of a final repository for spent nuclear fuel.

We are now looking for a driven and engaged electrical engineer.
Where You Will Work
The Technical Department has an overarching mission to design and develop all of SKB's nuclear facilities. As an engineer, you will work on developing design documentation within electrical power.
With us, you will have the opportunity to get close to reality and follow projects from idea to operational application. You will have the chance for extensive networking and the opportunity to navigate cross-functionally within the organization.
You will be part of an established group with extensive experience in the field, where the group has a good atmosphere, strong collaboration, and effective routines. We offer a developing work environment where you work both independently and in teams while collaborating with other departments.
What You Will Do
Your work will partly consist of ensuring design responsibility in the area, which means developing processes, establishing design requirements, designing, calculating, investigating, analyzing, verifying, and validating in our tools. Our project activities take up the majority of our time; in addition, one of our most important tasks is to support our colleagues in operations and maintenance to ensure the availability of our existing facilities.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is curious and eager to learn and develop themselves. You are driven and structured to independently manage your processes. You have good collaboration skills and can handle contacts both internally within SKB and externally.
We also see that you have:
- education in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
- several years of experience in electrical work within industry.
- experience in project management is an advantage.
- knowledge of and experience with systems such as Elmaster or AutoCAD is a plus.
- driver's license B.
Fluent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is a requirement.

Location: Forsmark or Solna
If stationed in Solna, you are expected to be regularly present in Forsmark.
